I almost let 9/11 pass without remembrance. I am ashamed. After 16 years of continual war on terror, we still hear about horrific terrorist attacks weekly. It seems like it will never end.
Terrorism will be the war we fight all of our lives. When I was 13, I wrote a paper for school on terrorism, not 9/11 – I was not a prophet nor a man from the future. You see, I wrote about the terrorists from the 60’s and 70’s. Interesting thing, even then, one of their tools of terror was the commercial airlines.
So, how did we lose such sight on that in the 2000’s – an even more enlightened time?
Easy… just like we are starting to do now, the distractions of politics, social unrest, finance, economies… let us “forget”!

It has happened once, next time instead of 3,000 victims we may be talking 30,000 or 300,000 or maybe even 3 million victims. Each time the terrorists up the ante.
For those who died, let us not forget. For those who sacrificed since, let us not forget. For those who have had to live on losing loved ones to the attacks of 9/11, or in sacrifice since…
Let us never forget.
From the time we are born until the day we die, our enemy will always be those who fight with terror, whether terrorists or criminals or….
