What’s Coming @ TheGaGG.com

So, what’s coming @ TheGaGG.com? Great question! We have some really good changes and content in the works. Here is a tease of  “Whats Coming @ TheGaGG.com”.

Site Changes

Over the course of the coming months, we will be developing and delivering version 2.0 of TheGaGG.com. With this version, we will move from a “blog” format of presentation to an information portal format. It will become easier for you to find and follow the content that you read here on TheGaGG.com. Stay tuned for the changes.

When we started TheGaGG.com, it was a blog. A blog is a “diary” of things someone is doing. Recently, we broke the 75 article/content threshold with what we have brought to you. We have added regular writers like Jim Marsal, as well as others, will be joining us very soon. We have some great expert series, as well as various academies (Glock-ology, Remington Ju-Ju, etc.) and more in the works.

Overall, we are no longer a “blog” – we are a firearms and shooting information portal. I guess we should say, welcome to online “adulthood” (we can drink a beer now)!

New Series

Taking Notes

If you have not noticed, we have started a couple of new series and formalized some recurring content into regular series. These are:

  • Jim’s Gems
  • Journey to…
  • TheGaGG.com Answers…

Let’s chat about them briefly.

“Jim’s Gems”

For those of you who have not partaken of the delightful wit and wisdom of Jim Marsal, then you should! Jim is a shooter, instructor, gunsmith and all around “gun guy extraordinaire”.  Each month, Jim will provide you with his take and wisdom on a topic of his choice. Go check out his previously posted articles.

“Journey To…”

What started as some articles about my personal journey to become competitive enough to reach the USPSA Regionals, has become a series. Here, I share with you my intimate gun journeys. We look forward (over the upcoming months) to see this expand into other journeys (rifle, gunsmithing, etc.) I am taking on my “gun bunny” path.

“TheGaGG.com Answers…”

For those of you who have not yet seen or read, we are now on Quora.com. Check out our Quora page. We plan on taking some of our key answers from our Quora participation, as well as other questions we get asked (podcast questions, out-of-band questions, etc.), and start a regular series called  “TheGaGG.com Answers…”.  Also, look for some of these questions to become fuller, more detailed articles that we write here on TheGaGG.com.

New Academies

“Remington Ju-Ju”

Following our Glock-ology series, we are launching our Remington Ju-Ju Academy (yes, these are now formal academies). We will be starting with the Model 700 as the inaugural sub-series in the upcoming weeks. Of course, the series starts with the 101 lineage where we cover the basic ownership topics regarding the Remington Model 700 bolt action rifle.

  • Sadie says:

I pick up your new content through an RSS feed. Will I still be able to do that with the upcoming changes?

    • admin says:

We plan on it. We also are looking at making it easier to consume across multiple formats. For instance, not all of the “content” goes on the site, we have some memes, sayings, etc that go on Facebook that don’t get on the site. Or we have some wild and uncuts (raw video from activities) that goes on YouTube. We are looking at how we can help consolidate all of this over some “feed”. That said, we haven’t figured it completely out. The best thing for now is to make sure you follow us on all of our “locations” (Social Media).

As always, thank you Sadie for your questions!
